Update: The Maison Margiela and Salomon XT-4 Mule are finally here. Reworked as a slip-on silhouette, the shoes are imbued with MM6’s eclectic design codes while upholding its technical sneaker features. While previous teasers revealed only two colorways, the launch sees a total of three color options: ”Transparent Yellow And Lapis Blue,” “White And Spring Bouquet” and “Black.”
Available in both men’s and women’s sizings, the shoes are released on both brand’s official webstores, select physical stores as well as some authorized retailers.
Original: Following its collaboration with Salomon for FW22, MM6 Maison Margiela taps the French sports equipment company once again for the first-ever XT-4 Mules.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon mules appear in two colorways — one in creamy earth tones and the other in vibrant teal, purple, and yellow accents. The chopped heel design comes to the XT-4 just in time for summer while maintaining the popular silhouette’s signature features including a full-length Agile Chassis™ Skeleton, one-pull Quicklace system, carbon-like coating over the mesh uppers, and dual-density midsoles. Special details from the collaboration include Margiela number branding with the letter 6 circled across the toebox and multi-colored nylon strips fixed on the tongue with “XT-4 Mule” branding. Completing the looks are Molded OrthoLite sockliners and Mud Contragrip outsoles
