Pharrell’s JOOPITER Announces Jackson Wang ‘Metamorphosis’ Auction

Pharrell Williams’ JOOPITER has announced its latest effort, an auction in collaboration with K-Pop star Jackson Wang. Jackson Wang Metamorphosis: Athlete – Musician – Designer offers a 29-piece collection, including everything from stage pieces and Wang’s old fencing uniforms.

During the course of the auction, fans and collectors will have a rare opportunity to buy costumes and accessories from Wang’s “Magic Man” tour, like custom Louis Vuitton pieces and even his on-stage ear monitors. Fencing equipment from his days before stardom, working as an Olympic trainee, is also available to bid on, alongside “Team Wang” pieces like a velvet jacket and diamond ring. For the ultimate fan experience, the highest bidder can win the opportunity to go behind the scenes of his upcoming music video shoot.

“I’m very grateful that I can share the highlights and important chapters of my first 30 years on earth — from sports to music to fashion,” said Jackson Wang. “All of these items are very meaningful to me. They may appear to be very different, but they all represent the same mindset. To me, the only difference among these chapters of my life would be the skill sets, what remains the same is the emphasis on creation.”

For those who don’t feel like paying collector-level prices, the lots are accompanied by merchandise: a limited edition tee, jacket, gloves and keychain will be available to purchase. The tees feature a multi-color JOOPITER logo and the gloves have Team Wang inscribed on the side of the middle finger.

Metamorphosis follows JOOPITER’s successful Joyride auction which featured a series of rare vintage car models with luxury brands such as Ferrari, Mercedes and BMW, and continues the house’s recent run of working with celebrities and influential fashion figures — both NIGO and Sarah Andelman have played a part in previous auctions.

The auction will run from 6/17 to 6/24 with estimated winning bids ranging from $600- $15,000 USD. You can view the full collection on JOOPITER’s website.
