Oakley Factory Team Offers Flesh and Chop Saw Models in “Hairy Suede” for First FW24 Drop

For its first FW24 drop, Oakley Factory Team — a brand subdivision spearheaded by Kyle Ng and the Brain Dead team — will offer updated colorways and new materials for the Flesh and Chop Saw models, alongside two distinct eyewear styles.

Continuing the partnership’s synthesis of Oakley’s sleek technicality and Brain Dead’s West Coast edge, this offering focuses on adding “Hairy Suede” to footwear styles. The much-loved Flesh clog will be available in a deep brown suede and the Chop Saw sneaker will arrive in a tonal indigo suede. The new Chop Saw’s turquoise laces contrast with midnight blue-green hues that dominate the uppers and soles.

Moving to eyewear, The Planet X Eye Jacket frames are another iteration of Oakley’s 90s silhouette that the collaborators remixed last year. Replacing the Oakley logo on the bridge with a handwritten “Brain Dead” wordmark, the Planet X comes with iridescent violet lenses and a speckled black and blue frame. The speckled frames reappear in the new “Mumbo” style, which boasts the athletic wrap lenses synonymous with Oakley.

Outside of its work on the Oakley Factory team line, Brain Dead has also continued to ramp up collaborations with adidas. New styles of its spin on the Stan Smith were released on September 7, which also implemented brushed suede.

Oakley Factory Team’s first installment for FW24 will be available on September 17 at all Brain Dead stores, Oakley and Brain Dead’s websites, and select Oakley locations.
